About FDJ Services

Skaleet supports FDJ Services in its growth to support the development of two offers:

  • Nirio Go's bill payment offering to its 10,000 retailers
  • Nirio Premio’s accounts & cards B2C offering.

Nirio is the brand of payment service of La Française des Jeux Services (FDJS), itself a subsidiary of FDJ. FDJ Group is a French listed entertainment business, leveraging a network of tobacco shops' point of sales (>30K).

Nirio enables its customers to pay bills, rent, plane tickets and soon tolls at the 10,000 authorized FDJ outlets (Nirio Go). In addition to this physical payment service, Nirio now offers an account with a French IBAN, as well as a payment card (virtual and physical) (Nirio Premio).

With Nirio, the FDJ Group, via its subsidiary FDJ Services, aims to become the leading local payment and collection network in France, and to become an integral part of French people's daily lives. These activities enable the FDJ Group to modernize its distribution network and support the network of bar-tabac-press operators.

To meet Nirio's needs, Skaleet is able to manage a network of agents and invoice payments, as well as the specific compliance requirements which Nirio is subject to.

FDJ Services challenge

FDJ Services needed to launch a new payment service in record time with a high level of quality and flexibility from its partners.

FDJ Services launched its Payment Services entity from scratch with a five-person team at the beginning of the project (30 people now), and needed a next-gen Core Banking Solution to support its growth and provide the required capabilities to disrupt the market. The solution needed to be completely API-driven, in order to integrate within FDJ’s large ecosystem of partners.

FDJ Services chose Skaleet

By working with Skaleet and Polyconseil, FDJ Services chose partners with whom it can scale substantially, and with whom it can personalize its user experience while relying on a robust and agile banking core.

In making this decision, FDJ Services placed significant value on Skaleet’s modularity and configurability. Throughout the project cycle FDJ developed a strong,  trusting relationship with Skaleet’s team, enabling it to launch Nirio in record time.

FDJ Services succeeded in launching their Nirio offering (Bill Payment product, and Card issuance) on time and on budget, with a high quality product.

Skaleet is at the heart of the Nirio ecosystem and enabled FDJ Services to develop its offering.
